"The Best Offer" is at its best when it's decidedly weird.. A Michael Mann-ish heist thriller with a pulse-pounding foot chase and some terrific stunt work offsetting its hackneyed plot and dialogue.. With this bloody exercise in provocation, the aging action hero climbs aboard the crooked-cop bandwagon like it was an ambulance to revive his dying career.. Once you get past the recycled quality of the characters and dialogue, the movie has some stylish action sequences and moderately clever plot...
